Decision-Making / Values / Goals - In competitive sports, we always make self and team goals for the season.
Clothing - I have experience with shopping for and picking out my own clothes; I also do my own laundry from time to time.
Finances / Budgeting - Over the summer I worked two jobs and had to pay for many of my own things, I also had to learn to save some of my own money.
Cooking, Food Prep & Safety - I know how to make basic foods for myself. I know the basics of cooking because of an eighth grade class on cooking I had to take.
Relationships & Communication / Dating Violence - Between boys and friends, I've learned to keep them equal and make time for both. Friends are always good for support.
Marriage & Family - I’m in a family of three, and we are pretty close.
Birth Control - I am familiar with birth control.
Pregnancy / Childbirth / Adoption - One of my cousins was adopted, so I've experienced that process.

I found that it was helpful because it also mentions all other factors that influence your decisions. It also helped me remember to evaluate my decisions afterwards. Setting Goals This website was useful because it helps you follow the steps of making goals. It also gives you categories in which you should make goals for. It helps you create a plan for achieving your goals. Values This website was full of definitions and explanations on why values are so important. It also includes a list of values as examples as to what may actually value. This is something that we don't always think of specifically, so it's helpful to figure out what is really important to you.
